PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: The objective of this Event is to create a forum for the students comprising of all elements of experiential learning, to test their intellectual ability, simultaneously opening avenues for sharing mutual experience, skills and talent & to reach their collective and individual aspirations, in the field of computer science on a common platform.

EXPECTED OUTCOME : Talent Hunt-2k16 'Codographer' is a challenging competition to find out the best innovative This event helps in developing among professional skills like leadership, team work, business acumen, resource generation & management and converting ideas to events and their implementation among our students.

EVENT DESCRIPTION : “Talent Hunt-2k16 'Codographer' (Codographer) is a word which describe the whole unit of Computer science professionals with the exceptional skills of programming. The event 'Hunt for Codographers' of ITSEC is mainly comprises of various technical events related to Computer Science and Engineering. The main theme of event is to organize an even that will utilize the collective efforts of students towards, the innovative and technical skills students under the tag line of 'For the students, by the students, of the students'.

One Day Workshop on Android Apps Development, Organized by ITSEC CSI Student Branch

AUGUST 23, 2016



CSE Department, I.T.S Engineering College, organized one day Workshop on 'Android Application Development' by Mr. Devender Khari.

The opening of program was made by welcoming Mr. Devender Khari. Mr. Khari is a graduate in CSE from Shivaji University and Masters from BITS, Pilani. Currently he is working as CEO and Director of DKOP Labs Private Ltd. He has rich experience of over 18 years of working in companies like Cadence Design Systems and Bunka Orient India (Grape City).

The talk was initiated by Honourable guest, briefing about concepts of Core Java, followed by elaboration on activities, intents, different GUI elements using XML and android database SQLite.

The selected students of CSE 3rd year attended the workshop. Dr. Ashish Kumar, HOD-CSE, gave a Vote of Thanks and Token of Appreciation to Mr. Devender Khari.



INTER College Technical Fest | 'Saganika-2016'

CSE Department Society 'Avant Garde' organized a inter college Technical Fest 'SANGANIKA-2016' in association with Computer Society of India, Student Branch at I.T.S. Engineering College, Greater Noida.

Mr. Ankur Saxena, Convener, Avant Garde, SBC ITSEC CSI Student Branch and event coordinator of Sanganika 2016, welcomed Dr. Arun Sharma, Chairman-CSI Ghaziabad Chapter, Mr. Vikas Srivastava, Treasurer-CSI Ghaziabad Chapter & Mr. Rakesh Missra-Secretary Elet. CSI Ghaziabad Chapter.

The technical fest comprised of four events namely: WEB WAR, ITSEC-COC-2016, TECHNICAL QUIZ and TECHNO MASTI. There were more than 150 students who participated in various events from ITS Engineering College, GNIT, Galgotias’s College of Engineering & Technology, G.L Bajaj Inst. of Technology and Management and other colleges as well.

The objective of the festival was to create forum for the students comprising of all elements of experiential learning, to test their intellectual skills, simultaneously opening avenues for sharing mutual experience, skills and talent & to reach their collective and individual aspirations, in the field of technology and other activities on a common platform.

This festival would help in developing professional skills like leadership, team work, business acumen, resource generation & management among the students. Winners of all four events were given Cash prizes and certificates as follows:

Code Optimization Challenge: 1st Prize was won by Kirti and Ashmita of ITSEC, 2nd Prize was won by Shivam and Tejas of GL Bajaj Inst. of Technology and Management.

Web War: 1st Prize was won by Anubhav and Harsh of ITSEC, 2nd Prize was bagged by Nikhil and Rahul of ITSEC.

Techno Masti: 1st Prize was won by Vikrant and Priyank of ITSEC, 2nd Prize was bagged by Omkar and Vaibhav Satti of ITSEC.

Technical Quiz: 1st Prize was won by Sameer Khan and Sagar Goel of ITSEC, 2nd Prize was bagged by Shahbaz Haider and Parvaiz Khan of ITSEC respectively.

Finally, Mr. Ankur Saxena congratulated the winners and gave a Vote of Thanks Speech.

Mr. Rakesh Missra, Secretary-Elect of CSI, Ghaziabad, Mr. Saurabh Agrawal is Ex-Chairman, CSI and Head – Strategy & Delivery (MEA), Tata Consultancy Services, Mr. Anil Ji Garg is Secretary of CSI, Ghaziabad and is also Founder of Doodle Powel and Mr.

Mukul, is Managing Committee member CSI, Ghaziabad. The opening of program was made by welcoming the guests with the bouquet presentation by Director, Dr. Vineet Kansal and faculty members of CSE/IT department This was followed by introductory speech by Dr. Vineet Kansal stating about requirement of Society.

After words Mr. Rakesh Missra briefed about CSI (Computer Society of India). He told the students that CSI Organization is one of the Largest & Oldest Professional Body of volunteers of our Nation that has Admin HQ at Mumbai and has Global affiliation with Organizations like IEEE, IFIP, BCS, ACS. Mr. Anil Ji Garg guided students How to utilize CSI membership and Mission of CSI and students were told how CSI facilitate Research, Knowledge Sharing, Learning and Career Enhancement for all categories of IT professionals, how it Inspire, nurture and assist new entrants to integrate into the IT community and how Percolation of IT advancement benefits are passed to all students.

This was followed by I-Card distribution by Honorable Guests to president and Committee Heads of CSI Student Branch of ITSEC. Mr. Saurabh Agrawal & Mr. Mukul told students about Latest Global trends in Digital Technology and various advantages of CSI membership to Students in terms of participation in various CSI events, Recognition, Knowledge Enhancement, CSI Publications, Awards & Recognition, Networking.

He further elaborated on Recognition by Accreditation Bodies, Participation in Technology update activities/ events at chapter / regional / national levels, Special discounts, Resource support – workshops, lectures, seminars, conferences, Expo and festivals, Participation in IEEE/ Joint events, Opportunity to do write-ups in CSI Communication, publishing and prize winning opportunities, Opportunity to interact with Industrial luminaries & get career guidance, Take-up R&D projects, Participate in ED Training & certification at subsidized rates and Sponsorship for International conferences. The B.Tech.

2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of CSE and IT branches attended the interactive Session. Finally, Mr. Ankur Saxena gave a Vote of Thanks Speech.



Workshop on 'Cloud Computing' by Mr. Karan Chaturvedi

CSI and CSE Society, 'Avante Garde' of I.T.S Engineering College, one of the Premier Institution in the field of Engineering and Management Education organized a Workshop on 'Cloud Computing' by Mr. Karan Chaturvedi.

Mr. Karan Chaturvedi is a IBM Cloud Technical Evangelist. Mr. Chaturvedi has more than 7 years of experience as a Solution Architect and worked with companies like Huawei Telecommunications, NTT comm., Navisite-time Warner. He is certified in 13 different technologies of Cisco, vmware, IBM, Huawei, HP, and others.

EVENT OBJECTIVES: The objective of this workshop was to create forum for the students about various things required to deploy an application, like Runtimes, IBM tool DB2, IBM Supercomputer Watson.

EVENT OUTCOME: This workshop helped our students in getting more insight about developing applications using open standard Bluemix which is used to build, manage and run applications of various types like Web, Mobile, Big Data and new smart devices.
